romantic poetry essay, i need help!!!?
Ok for my english class we have to write an essay on a romantic poem. Here is the prompt: Choose a poem by one of the Romantic poets we have studied. Write a three to four page paper where you do a close reading of the poem you have chosen. Your essay should be a thoughtful and analytical discussion of the pems romantic elements with continual reference to the poem itself. your essay shold be a detalied discussion of how the poem works, how it sounds, its romantic elements, what it is trying to convey, and how the poet is trying to convey the idea to the reader. I chose the poem "Frost at Midnight" by coleridge My question is how do i organize all those topics we are supposed to discuss into a thesis. If anyone can help me on how to organize my essay i would greatly appreciate it. To read the poem just type it in on google. thanks

- Start by doing your close reading first. Print out a copy of the poem and read it line by line, marking all of the poetic devices, rhyme and meter, figurative language, etc. Then think about what those things accomplish - how do they reinforce the message of the poem? Are there particularly meaningful images that repeat? How do the rhyme or rhythmic patterns relate to the poem's meaning? What is the author trying to say with all these deliberate things that he's done? Your thesis is in the answers to those questions. Once you've picked a thesis, you can organize your evidence. Maybe you want to devote one whole paragraph to rhyme. Then you want to devote one each to three images or episodes that are especially important. Find logical groupings of literary devices and talk about them together.
